Chhath Puja 2017

Chhath Puja 2017 is an ancient Hindu festival, rituals are performed to thank the Sun god for sustaining life on earth and seeking the divine blessings.  Hindu devotees wait for the sunrise to pray to the Sun god on the banks of the river Ganga,Yamuna and several other river and ponds during Chhath Puja in India.   Chhath is observed six days after Diwali and is a major festival of the 'Purvanchalis' settled in different parts of the country, including the national capital.
